Workshop on “Breeding Informatics in Plant Breeding” during June 07-09, 2022 was organized jointly by ICAR-IARI, EiB CIMMYT and ICAR-IASRI under the aegis of ICAR-BMGF Collaborative Project “Application of Next-Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalization Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops” at ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi.
The workshop was inaugurated by Project coordinator and Director ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, Dr. AK Singh in the presence of Dr. Rajender Parsad, Director, ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi. Dr. Abhishek Rathore, Regional Breeding Informatics Lead, (EiB) – International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), Dr. C. Bharadwaj, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IARI, Dr. T. Nepolean, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad and Dr. Susheel Kumar Sarkar, CCPI from ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi were also present.
There were 21 data champions of the project from different parts of the country who participated in this workshop. They have updated the Breeding Management System, Design of Experiments and Analysis. Workshop was concluded with distribution of certificate to the participants.
