·      Best Research Paper Award

Research paper entitled, “Acreage estimation of mango orchards using hyperspectral satellite data” authored by Nobin C Paul, Prachi M Sahoo, Tauqueer Ahmad, R.N Sahoo, Gopal Krishna and S.B.Lal published in Indian Journal of Horticulture Vol. 75 (1), March 2018 / PP 27-33 was adjudged as the Best Research Paper for the year 2018 by the Indian Academy of Horticultural Sciences (IAHS).

·      Project Leader of a National Level project “Survey component of CHAMAN project” during 2014-2018 under which alternative sampling methodology developed by ICAR-IASRI for estimation of area and production of horticultural crops was tested and validated in six states of the country and is adopted in Haryana State since 2019-20. As a result of this study, ICAR-IASRI has been declared as National Level Agency (NLA) under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) by MoAFW, Govt. of India.

·      Cooperating Centre Project Leader of a National Level project under SDG 12.3.1Assessment of quantitative harvest and Post Harvest losses of major crops/commodities in India” under which a suitable sampling methodology was developed by ICAR-IASRI for estimation of harvest and Post Harvest losses of 45 major crops/commodities based on a national level survey during 2012-2014 in 120 selected districts of the country.
